Collect cereal tokens, send them away, and your brand loyalty was rewarded with one of three Kelloggs Rice Krispies Transformers. These early 90s plastic toys transformed from a mini cereal packet into one of three vehicles, a Jet, a racer or a hover (car).
In the decades before tighter profit margins and increased regulation saw a demise in cereal toys, these giveaway items were commonplace. Most of us will remember fighting over who got the toy in the box. From memory these three Snap, Crackle and Pop themed transformer toys needed at least three tokens to be collected each, and maybe even a small fee to cover postage.
The Cars offered to avid cereal eaters were Snap Racer, Crackle Jet or Pop Hover.
Still mad I never got these. But I never liked the cereal. Such a cool toy.
